Welcome
The word
"eczema" is used to describe a variety of persistent skin conditions,
related to inflammation of upper layers of the skin. People with eczema
generally have areas of skin that are affected by rashes, redness and which are
dry and itchy. In many cases, these areas of skin may blister, flake, or crack,
and some bleeding or oozing may also occur.
People who suffer with eczema should discuss the issue with their doctor, who
will, if necessary refer them to a specialist dermatologist (a doctor specializing
in skin conditions). Seeing a doctor will ensure a proper diagnosis (including
a confirmation that it is in fact heartburn and not something else), a proper
discussion of the likely causes, and a recommendation of the most appropriate
treatment.
